安德鲁·布华顿教授现任普利茅斯艺术学院院长和首席执行，是普利茅斯创意艺术学校成立理事会主席、上海大学上海美术学院特聘教授。他曾任普利茅斯艺术中心理事会主席、沃尔夫汉普顿大学艺术设计学院院长、达汀顿艺术学院院长，也曾任职于多个国家机构—GuildHE副主席、文化学习联盟指导委员会成员、工艺协会教育咨询小组成员和创意产业联合会英国咨询委员会成员。

安德鲁硕士毕业于英国剑桥大学英语文学专业，曾在六十多本当代艺术和教育杂志、画册和书籍中发表诗歌和论文，其中包含中国行为艺术家何运良、中国画家薛广臣、琉璃艺术家AntoineLeperlier、ColinReid和KeithCummings的论文。他的著作《琉璃中见般若》在中国台北（年）和上海（年）出版，该书讲述了佛学和杨惠珊的艺术创作。年4月，有关他对中国艺术和设计教育之贡献的著作《布华顿》在上海出版。他的论文《学习：艺术教学案例研究》在《挑战审美构成》（比勒费尔德，年）中发表，介绍了普利茅斯学院在其学校建筑——红房子中的艺术创作。
